RE: Tahoe 36TB 5th Wheel

Thanks for the information. I probably would keep it as I know the resale would be tough. I am also wondering if replacement parts are available easily for the unit.

Tahoe 36TB 5th Wheel

Just wondering to get a few opinions. I just looked at a 2003 36 foot Tahoe with a living room slide, garage with a 2nd bed and overall in good shape. Here's the question: it has a salvage title due to when he pulled it out of his driveway it caught on his gate and damaged the left side of the trailer. Lower valance, fuel station box and the reason for the salvage is the rear frame that holds the tail lights is bent out approx. 2-1/2". The rear gate still opens fine and the rest is cosmetic and I can fix. I can pick the trailer up for around $7,000 and I am just wondering if it would be a stupid move to by a salvage title trailer. I was also wondering what the GVW of that trailer was since the sticker is faded and I cannot pick out the numbers. Thanks for any responses.

RE: Does you Pooch watch TV

Lizzy my King Charles does the same thing except she'll bark first and run into the kitchen thinking their in there. The funniest thing now is the Advantage commercial. She knows the music and if I can't turn it down fast enough she will come tearing to the TV from whatever room she is in the house. Pets are funny!

RE: scissor stairs left on?

I have an Arctic Fox 1150 and mine stay on all the time. They just flip over and set on the bumper. That said Step Up Manufacturing had to make a few adjustments to the steps for them to rotate all the way over.

RE: Roadmaster Active Suspension for Truck camper.

I run them with Timbrens and really like them. I had air bags and Timbrens and was just looking for something different and came across the Active Suspension. It did raise the rear of the truck but the empty ride is greatly improved. I am now working on adding my air bags for a little more flexibility with leveling at camp etc. I think for the price they are worth trying and they have a 30 day money back guarantee if you don't like them for any reason. I have photos if needed.

RE: summer camping

Dillion Beach near Bodega Bay is a lot of fun. Open camping, sand dunes and a lot of other things to do. Tempatures are good as well.

RE: Who all hauls a box trailer?

I have an 8.5X16 enclosed trailer for quads etc. I use a 41" extesion and W.D Bars and it tows like a dream. For whatever reason, and I have been working a lot on it the truck and camper haul better with the trailer or boat attached than just the truck and camper.

RE: Launching Boat w/ TC

I have never taken the camper off to launch or retrieve the boat. I have an Arctic Fox 1150 and a 21' wakeboard boat and have been on some pretty tight and steep ramps. The only thing I would have is a wheel chock.

RE: Does anyone have

I run a 150 PSI 100% duty cycle Extreme Aire Magnum Compressor from Extreme Outback Products in Vacaville with a 4 gal. tank. Runs air bags, air tools and anything else that I need air for. It is mounted on the frame underneath the passenger seat. In my Ford I built the gauges into the dash. I have pictures if needed.

RE: BF Goodrich Commercial T/A - Dually - Heavy Camper

I also have the TA's on my F350 DRW with an Arctic Fox 1150 with around 14,000 miles on them and they are wearing very well. Actually better than I had expected and very strong sidewalls.

RE: Need help with a camper purchase

If you can find a place for the ratchet type straps to hook onto that would be sufficent. I had to do that with a larger camper and it worked out fine. Good Luck.

RE: Awning question

The brand is Carefree and you crank them out with a pole and the support legs are within the case. Once cranked out take the support legs and attach to the camper and adjust the awning to the desired height. They work very well but I wouldn't use them without attaching the arms to the camper. I will see if I have any photos that I can post.

Onan 2.5 Generator

The Onan in my Arctic Fox 1150 started surging this weekend while attending the Nascar race in Las Vegas. If running to charge the batteries it will do it, and if I put a larger load on it like the air conditioner or the microwave it will smooth out. If anyone has had this problem and was able to resolve it (without taking it out and adding a Honda 2000)I would appreciate it. Thanks for the help this forum has some great ideas on it. Sean

RE: Adding an XM antenna solution needed.

I have XM and I mounted a small metal tab on the camper gutter and then when the camper goes on just remove from the cab and place on the camper, works great. The antenna has a magnetic base and the cord has quite a reach. If possible definitely go with a integrated XM box if possible as the modulators do not work very well to hold the signal.

RE: Any ideas on mystery diarrhea (update)

Hello, I also have a new pup and it got Giardia (sp) which is a parasite. Which gave her diareha and also some blood in the stool. The other one I would be worried about is Parvo. Is she lathargic? I would take her straight to the vet, as it is probably not something she ate. Keep us posted and good luck.

RE: Tork Lift Info

No I am sure since the reese doesn't have an opening in the end of the receiver. The part I need will have a flat plate that will bolt to the side of the receiver.
